NAS Whidbey Island Entry Control Points Upgrades

Client: NAS Whidbey Island/Valdez Construction

The project included design and installation of safety improvements (e.g. flush-mounted traffic spikes, speed humps, rumble strips, drop arm barriers, lighting upgrades, signage, etc.) at six ingress/egress locations for NAS Whidbey Island.

In addition, DCG designed the replacement of twenty-six (26) existing runway distance markers and connection components to withstand extreme wind loading, weather conditions, jet blast forces, and a corrosive environment.
