Madison Valley Long-Term Solution NW Diversion and Stormwater Storage Facilities

Client: Seattle Public Utilities

As a subconsultant, DCG provided design and construction phase support for local stormwater collection and conveyance facilities that involved the trenchless construction of a stormwater pipeline – a 2.1M-gallon storage facility that redirects surface runoff from the combined sewer to the new stormwater storage facility. Services also included road restoration design and SDOT Street Improvement Permit (SIP) process. DCG’s familiarity with the Seattle Public Utilities’ engineering design and drafting standards was a complement to the project and team as a whole. Throughout the project, DCG demonstrated engineering expertise in a cost-conscious manner, while being aware of project management requirements for an aggressive project schedule and minimizing construction impacts in the densely populated Madison Valley neighborhood.
