Lyon Creek Flood Mitigation

Client: City of Lake Forest Park

DCG was responsible for the project management, design, and construction oversight of 1,450-LF of stream and culvert improvements in the Lake Forest Park Town Center and surrounding areas that experienced severe flooding in recent years. The project gave the creek an opportunity to improve fish passage by evening out the stream channel profile and eliminating partial migration barriers, greatly increasing vegetative cover, and improving overall habitat diversity. This project was awarded APWA’s 2015 Environmental Project of the Year.
