Renaissance Detention Vault

The project included structural engineering for the four-story 120-unit affordable apartment building, the 6,000-sf retail building, and the two large (50-ft by 150-ft) underground detention vaults. The vault design incorporated pre-cast, hollow core planks over cast-in-place walls and footings. The design of one of the vaults was complicated by the high water table and was designed to withstand buoyant forces.
