Marine / Environmental
The Marine and Environmental Division has earned a reputation for providing specialty design, engineering, planning, and environmental expertise in the Pacific Northwest and along the West Coast. Our team provides a wide range of consulting services centered around the shorelines, rivers, and lakes of the Pacific Northwest. This includes taking on the marine engineering challenges related to this dynamic and sensitive location, the environmental concerns associated with the critical areas, and the planning/permitting support required to navigate development within these waters. With an extensive background in most sectors of the industry, including private clients, residential, commercial, industrial, and local / state / federal governments, the team has performed in a wide range of jurisdictions meeting and exceeding design standards, project requirements, and client expectations. The division has project experience ranging from marine structures to coastal shoreline restoration and from passenger boarding systems to large-scale Port developments. These projects have included waterfront/marine features. These include bulkheads, boat ramps, docks, boardwalks, trails, pedestrian esplanades, sidewalks, parking facilities, utilities, and stormwater systems. We are supported by our Landscape Architecture Division. With a long history of planning, stakeholder involvement, grant support, and community outreach, our Landscape Architecture Division bolsters our capabilities in these areas.
